Lee Brice has a broad general practice representing individuals and businesses in a variety of areas including:

Real estate transactions and financing including real estate purchase and sale agreements; commercial and consumer loan documentation and closings; construction loans; negotiating and drafting loan agreements, real estate mortgages and other collateral documentation for business and consumer loans; security interests in equipment, inventory, accounts receivable and other types of collateral; perfection of UCC Security interests; closings of HUD-insured mortgages; examination of real estate titles in Parishes throughout Louisiana; identification and curing of title defects; real estate development; representation of developers, owners and tenants of office buildings, shopping centers, apartment complexes, agricultural and timberland, and residential subdivision property; servitudes; leases; expropriation; landlord and tenant law;

Business organizations including formation of businesses including corporations, limited liability companies (“LLC’s”), and partnerships; preparation of shareholder, member and partnership agreements; employment contracts and non-competition agreements; confidentiality agreements; agreements for purchase and sale of businesses as well as business asset purchase agreements; representation of businesses in employment law litigation, contract litigation and other types of actions;

Construction law including preparation of contracts for construction of buildings and other improvements; construction financing; filing of public and private works act liens as well as suits to enforce lien rights; construction litigation;

Successions and estate planning including preparation of wills and trusts; opening of succession proceedings in State court; representation of executors and other family members in administration of successions and trusts;

Litigation of business and personal disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants including contractual litigation; personal injury and wrongful death; medical malpractice; loan collections and foreclosures;

Representation of creditors in both consumer and commercial bankruptcy proceedings in federal bankruptcy courts in the State of Louisiana.

Lee Brice is a licensed title insurance agent and is authorized to issue title insurance policies for First American Title Insurance Company.  He obtained both his undergraduate degree (B.S. accounting, cum laude, 1983) and law degree (1986) from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a member of the Shreveport Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
